She’s a work in progress . . .

Bailey Meredith has had it. As an assistant at a prestigious interior design firm, she’s tired of making coffee and filing invoices. She’ll do just about anything to get out from under the paperwork and into the field for real experience. Then she sees an ad for a job that seems too good to be true.

He’s a fixer upper . . .

Wilder Aldrich knew she would be perfect for the crew the moment he saw her. His hit home improvement show only hired the best, and Bailey had potential written all over her. It isn’t just her imaginative creativity and unmatched work ethic that grabs his attention. There’s just something about her.

With chemistry on screen, it’s only a matter of time before sparks fly behind the scenes as well. But with Bailey’s jaded views on romance and a big secret that could destroy Wilder and everyone he cares about, are either of them willing to risk it all for love?

Excerpt~

Keeping a close distance, she followed Waverly up the cracked path to the house. Bailey took quick mental notes of her surroundings. The exterior needed a lot of work. The sagging roof missing gutters made her think they’d find the inside in similar disarray. They stepped through the front door, nearly tripping over Wilder Aldrich, who was measuring the entryway.

“Hey!” He sprang to his feet and out of their way. “What did I tell you about waiting until I gave you the all clear?”

“You were taking for-frickin’-ever, and some of us were freezing our tits off.” She pursed her lips and took on a warrior stance, seemingly daring him to say something else.

Conceding victory to her, Wilder turned and flashed an apologetic grin at Bailey. “Hey.” He offered a hand. Warmth permeated through the thin material of her glove. “Welcome to Casa de Waverly.”

Giving him a smug grin, Waverly sipped her coffee and faced Bailey. “Do you have a smart phone?”

Bailey stared blankly for a second, still dazzled by seeing Wilder up close. But she quickly snapped to attention and dug her phone out of her coat pocket.

“Good,” Waverly said after inspecting it. “While you’re on the job, I’d like you to snap some photos for our social media accounts. I’ll want to vet everything before we post it, but we need to start building the buzz for the next season while we’re filming. In exchange, we’ll cover your phone payments to take care of your data usage. Understood?”

“I can do that.”

“Good. Now . . .” She pulled out her own phone. It was the latest model that had come out on the market a month ago. With all of its reported bells and whistles, it put Bailey’s poor phone to shame. “I’m going to make a quick call. I’ll be back in a few minutes, and we can get started on,” she gestured around her, “this mess.”

She spun on her heel and waltzed out of the room, cooing into the phone.

Wilder cleared his throat, and Bailey turned to give him her full attention. She estimated he was only a couple of years older than herself—maybe in his late twenties or early thirties. He looked younger in real life than he did on TV. He was leaner and a little shorter—though she still had to crane her neck a little to meet his gaze.

He was also more handsome. Not the GQ model, your tongue-sticks-to-the-top-of-your-mouth kind of sexy. But he was hot in the same way the guy you sat next to in Chemistry was. It was enough to distract you from formulas and Bunsen burners every so often, but not enough that you’d ever set the lab on fire or forget to finish your final exam.

So far, he seemed much more serious. Where was the guy who scared Waverly with a stuffed dummy in a closet in the last episode she’d watched before calling an end to the marathon?

He was, she realized, studying her every bit as closely, with those hazel eyes speckled with green. Noting that, she didn’t feel quite as rude taking mental notes on the man in front of him.

At least she looked good. She’d laid out three outfits that morning in the hotel room. The first was a long, silky turquoise tunic that she’d paired with a pair of black leggings and knee-high boots. It was similar to the clothes Waverly favored on screen—only hers weren’t name-brand knockoffs. Then she had the casual jeans, a gray T-shirt that she could dress-up with a navy blue blazer. And there was option three: dark-wash, fit jeans, a chambray shirt, and a scarf. It was an ensemble that fell somewhere in the middle. It was the one that looked the most like her when she inspected herself in the mirror.

It was the one that felt most like her now in the middle of the foyer.

She wondered what he saw when he looked at her. Did he see a confident young woman ready to tackle major projects adeptly? Or did he see someone who was desperate to create, no matter what happened? Both were correct, but which one shone through right now?

Like a light switch, that triggered something in her. She offered her hand again. “We haven’t officially met. I’m Bailey Meredith.”

Playing House by Laura Chapman
•Sparks
Playing House… What an exceptional name for this story!! For my first story by Laura Chapman this was a cute story. I loved the playfulness between the characters as their relationships built throughout the story. It’s not always pretty or easy, but when love sparks there isn’t any stopping it!!! I look forward to reading more books by Laura Chapman, more of this story-line could be a great series too. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 16 and older.

Excerpt

“This was fun,” I murmur as his fingers coast over my cheek.

He tucks a lock of hair behind my ears and traces my jaw. It’s been a year since a man has touched me. And no one has ever caressed me like this. It’s like he’s trying to memorize my features. I’m enthralled. It’s hard to know what to do next, so I clutch my hands in my lap and stare at him. His eyes lock on my lips and I realize I’ve seized the lower one between my teeth.

His breath hisses out on a soft sigh. “Do you have any idea how sexy you are?”

“No.” It’s not the default word anyone uses when describing me.

“You are.”

How many women has he used this line on? Hundreds surely. He’s a player. A guy you sleep with not someone you date.

At the moment I’m standing at the line that separates the woman I am and the woman guys like Zach sleep with a few times and never call again. I can listen to my body and have several amazing orgasms to relive over and over, or I can listen to my heart, stay true to who I am and keep looking for a guy who can make me happy long term.

His fingers curve around the back of my neck. As he draws me forward, I ask, “Are you going to kiss me again?”

“I’d very much like to.”

This time his kiss is more direct. Firm and determined, he claims my lips and as his tongue darts forward, I open for him. He tastes like the striped peppermint candy we snagged on our way out of the restaurant.

The kiss quickly goes nova. Heat explodes in my midsection and lances downward as Zach’s hand curves over my knee. I clutch his shoulder, trembling with longing. Phrases spill through my mind. Naughty things I’d want to say to him. Images of taking him into my mouth again and making him cry out my name as he comes. I’ve forgotten that I’m not the type who has sex in cars. Right now, all I’m thinking is: yes, please, let’s do this.

Our tongues are dueling, my legs are parting and Zach’s hand is riding up my inner thigh when the phone in my lap buzzes with an incoming text. It’s close enough to my happy place that the vibration only adds to my arousal. I moan. Zach drags his lips from mine.

“That’s it, baby. Let me hear it.”

As his other hand dips inside my coat, fingers gliding over my breast, it’s easy to moan again. Damn, he’s good at this. Trembling with need, I bite my lip as the urge to whimper builds. I shift my hips as my clit perks up and starts crying for attention. If he doesn’t touch me there I’ll go out of my mind.

A second text follows the first or maybe it’s just that reminder that I haven’t looked at the first one. Either way, it feels great. So does Zach’s mouth on my neck. And is that his teeth? I open my thighs, silently begging him to go higher. He’s so close. I’m so close.

Buzz.

I’m panting. He’s sucking on my earlobe. Shit. That’s amazing. His thumb grazes my nipple.

Buzz.

Buzz.

The hand beneath my skirt reaches the elastic on my panties and I shift my hips, pushing into his fingers. Can he feel how wet I am? A little higher, please.

Buzz.

Buzz.

The vibration is so constant it’s like a sex toy and I’m so close to getting off. Just a little bit more. His finger brushes over the soaked crotch my panties. The lightest of touch and my body is electrified.

“F**k,” he mutters, tracing over my hot, aching core a second time. “These are soaked.”

A garbled noise emerges from my throat.

Buzz.

Buzz.

Buzz.

Buzz.

And then Zach’s fingers are retreating and I groan in protest. “Um, do you need to get that?”

Get what?

Buzz.

Buzz.

“Oh for f**k’s sake,” I exclaim as Zach removes his lovely, clever hands from beneath my clothes.

He flops back against his seat with a hearty curse. Eyes closed, breathing hard, he shields his face as his shoulders move. Damn the man. He’s laughing.

Snarling, I pick up the phone and see at least a dozen texts from my cousins. Looking over at the house, I spy all three of them lined up at the living room windows. Well, what did I expect? I’m making out with Zach in front of our house. I might as well have set up a neon sign on the front lawn that says orgasms happening here. Almost happening…so close. A growl vibrates my chest.

“Your cousins?”

“Yes.”

The Trouble with Bachelors (Windy City Bachelors Book #1) by Caitlyn Blue
•Panty-Dropping Hotness
This was a cute story that had me not only smiling from the beginning but had me chuckling throughout. There were some frustration issues too, but then that’s how life is. Especially when dealing with a wedding, siblings and friends. AMD maybe some residual high school issues. This was my first Caitlyn Blue book, but I’m looking forward to more stories within this series. Each one will be another couple within their inner circle…. Exciting stuff!
Emma has had a crush on Zach since the first day of being in speech class together in high school. Unfortunately he ends up saying her older sister instead of her. He’s a playboy who prefers short term relationships, while Emma is the long term, forever type. Can these two be just a wedding hookup fling, or will it turn out to be more? You’ll have to read The Trouble with Bachelors to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through Instafreebie for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations and adult language, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older!

What he wanted was an explanation as to why she’d nixed his return to active duty. He grinned, instead. “You seem more piqued than usual by my silence, Doc. Pre-menstrual tension?”
No flinch. No sharp intake of breath. She didn’t even blink. But the sudden chill she threw damn near caused his balls to retract.
Then, like an assassin’s blade in the dark, she sliced. “Suffered any symptoms of impotency since your injury, Berwick?”
Perversely, his groin heated. Well, apparently, if he wasn’t going to dignify her surprising and utterly unprofessional counter-challenge with a response, his dick would. Odd, when to-date, this woman hadn’t stirred so much as an extra pulse-throb from him.
Not that she was unattractive. On the contrary, her classical beauty could launch ships. Flawless bone-structure.Complexion creamy, lustrous as a pearl. Fathomless grey eyes intent enough to make a man’s soul hum. Wide mouth.Generous lips, blush-pink and ripe. Hinting at dirty.
Her demeanor though—do-not-touch frigid.
Jesus, if someone had told him a Nordic God had carved her out of ice and then had second thoughts about getting close enough to breathe some warmth into her for fear of forevermore ejaculating snowflakes, he wouldn’t have argued.
Without breaking eye contact, he vaguely imagined what she might look like with that tight French braid of hers loosened, the tips of her breasts peeking through the untidy fall of blond tresses, as she lay naked, writhing beneath his hands.
And gave himself a mental slap.
Never going to happen. No way would he take this female to bed. Even if he survived the encounter, he doubted she would. Someone, or something, had damaged her. No woman wrapped herself in that many layers of frost without good reason. She may have crossed him, and for that she would pay, but he didn’t want to break her, for Christ’s sake.
He’d shattered Diana, and in return her death—suicide—had shattered him. A joyride through hell he preferred not to repeat.
No, he’d cajole the whereabouts of Treherne’s brother from her in a way that didn’t require physical contact or, at least, not deep physical contact. The odd affectionate caress he’d allow, purely as a sign of friendship. He had a feeling she could do with an ally. “What would have to happen for you to agree to have dinner with me?”
“Both ice caps would have to melt.”
He choked back, Well, you would know, and widened his grin. To hell with his reservations. This wintery beauty shared none of Diana’s frailty. The Doc could take care of herself.
Game on.

Hard to Protect (Black Ops Heroes #1) by Incy Black
•48 Hours
Although this is the 3rd book of the Hard to..series, it’s the first one I’ve read as well as the first Incy Black novel, but I look forward to not only reading the first two books, but waiting for more! While each book is it’s own standalone story, they revolve around the black ops within the British Intelligence Service. This book is full of mystery, suspense, betrayal, heartache, as well as love, with a surprising twist at the end that I didn’t fully see coming. Be warned, once you start reading, you won’t want to put it down, I surely couldn’t!
Dr. Angel Treherne a psychotherapist or better known as the Ice Queen by Special Agent Will Berwick of the black ops—British Intelligence Service, has been ordered to seduce and sleep with her to get information on the whereabouts of her brother. Angel is suspicious of his sudden turn around. First he’s hostile then charming… He’s up to something and she will figure out what it is! Although sexual sparks fly between these two from the beginning, neither of them are wrestling to act upon them, or will they? You’ll have to read Hard to Project an action packed, suspenseful HEA love story to find out! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. This book uses stone British/UK spellings and references. Due to sexual situations and adult language, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older!

🎭SYNOPSIS🎭
Sink your fangs into Books 1-3 of the Vampires of London series in one handy bundle. This Vampire Romance collection includes: Alexander’s Blood Bride, Michael’s Soul Mate and Lucille’s Valentine.

Alexander’s Blood Bride
When Cat ends up at a Halloween party hosted by the mysteriously handsome and super rich Alexander Broderick, the last thing she expects is to become the object of his desire. Although she gets spooked and runs, she doesn’t yet understand the extent of his dangerous secret: Alexander, and a number of his guests, are vampires. And Cat’s blood is unlike anything they’ve smelled before…

EXCERPT~
Alexander Broderick stood at the top of the curving stairwell in the center of his Kensington residence, surveying his domain. The party had started at eight sharp, with more guests arriving every few minutes.
His Halloween parties were an age old tradition, even if their grandeur and scale had evolved significantly since the early days. A hundred years ago, he’d been content inviting a few friends and acquaintances, all of them vampire like he was. Now, every year, the event had grown bigger and better, featuring new faces from all walks of life.
Eternity was a very long time to spend in isolation. He craved the change in routine, no matter how hard his maker had tried to discourage him from going overboard in the past. Of course, ever since Julius had taken over the Council leadership, he had other things on his mind than to monitor Alexander’s social life.
Alexander thrived on the attention these parties afforded him. On a night such as tonight, he could step out of the shadows and into normality. Even if some guests noticed strange things around the house, they’d accept it as part of the magic of Halloween. It also helped that he kept the alcohol flowing generously throughout the night.
Tonight was the one night per year that the weird and wonderful became acceptable.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. So many people. So many aromas.
His parties weren’t an excuse to feed as such; no, he could do that any time. But the sheer variety of humankind at his feet was difficult to ignore.
Every vampire in attendance tonight would feel the same way. Alexander smiled as he imagined the depravity that would occur within these walls.
Sex, blood, and rock ‘n’ roll. Alexander couldn’t suppress a chuckle.
They’d keep things clean enough, of course. Everyone here was keen to stretch the rules but not break them. They wouldn’t take things so far as to attract suspicion.
They wouldn’t kill.
Alexander himself would join in the festivities as well. But first and foremost, he enjoyed playing host. He was especially fond of striking up conversations with first-time guests. First he’d figure out how they’d come by an invitation, then he’d guide the conversation toward other topics that interested him.
He was a connoisseur of sorts; like some immersed themselves in fine wines, politics, or even sports, Alexander collected knowledge on the human psyche. Zeitgeist, as some people called it; he loved to learn about that special set of thoughts and ideas that made society tick. In gathering information about how people lived their fleeting lives, he sought to find meaning for his own.
As he slowly started to walk down the stairs, he focused on acting normal; that meant being a lot more clunky and obvious in his movements than his instincts dictated.
He was socializing, not stalking prey!
That was one of the first lessons he’d learned once he started inviting humans to his get-togethers. If you approached them in too stealthy a fashion, they easily got spooked.
Halfway down, his friend Michael nodded a greeting as he passed him by. The much younger vampire wasn’t one to waste time; he’d already found himself two willing females to spend what he liked to call ‘quality time.’ Everyone had certain talents; seduction was his.
Alexander was about to continue down the steps when a presence caught him off guard. He wasn’t sure what it was exactly. A quick scan around the room revealed that all the guests were quite busy entertaining themselves; nobody was looking in his direction.
He sprinted back up the stairs, faster than a human eye could see, and gazed back down to figure out what had affected him so.
The front door swung open and two women entered. One was quite ordinary, and he could hardly tell her apart from the two Michael had just led upstairs. The other, though…
A radiant sight of womanhood.
Her floor length gown was very different from the skimpy outfits everyone else had chosen to wear. Blood red—which in itself would have been enough to entice even the most reclusive vampire among his company.
Raven hair halfway down her shoulder, which swayed with every step she took.
A face flawless, like that of a porcelain doll.
And curves. Her body exuded a richness that made every fiber in his body ache for her.

MY REVIEW
ALEXANDER’S BLOOD BRIDE by Lorelei Moon

•Unexpected
Cat and Shelly were given an exceptional invitation to an exclusive Halloween Party, which meant they had to go shopping for a costume for Cat. No matter how hard Shelly has tried over the years, she hasn’t been able to convert Cat the homebody into the life of the party like herself. But as a celebration to getting her job Cat decides to go anyway. They are shocked at the house they pull up to the mansion.
Alexander not only sees and smells, but feels when she walks into the house. Then he notices everyone else notices her too. He has to get to her before anyone else does. After showing her around the mansion they gravitate to the master suite. Everything is fine, until she removes his mask and looks into his eyes, then she flees the mansion. Shortly afterwards Alexander clears the house telling everyone in attendance the party is over, including the vampires in attendance, which is totally unlike him. What is it with this girl that causes this reaction to him? He finds out later that night when one of the Council visits him to tell him they need to find her because she is an extremely rare human Blood Bride. Alexander knows he wants her, but has to find her to protect her from Julius their maker and the oldest and highest ranking vampire that currently walks the earth.
Cat continues to dream of Alexander, in her dreams it’s revealed he’s a vampire. It doesn’t scare her anymore, but she knows she’s blown her chance with him after running out the way she did on Halloween. But she feels someone watching her, and knows instinctively that Alexander will protect her. Alexander on the other hand has no idea how or where to find her, but knows he needs to get to her before anyone else in the council does. Will they meet up when he has no idea how or where to find her within the city? You’ll have to read ALEXANDER’S BLOOD BRIDE to find out. I enjoyed reading this story and especially enjoyed the audible version, Gethyn Edward did an awesome job to capture the essence of the story! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book, via IndieSagePR for an honest blog tour review. *It’s the ultimate forbidden romance; the love between a mortal and a vampire. What is it that makes flirting with death so utterly tempting? Read on and find out. This story is intended for adult audiences only. (*directly from book)

Michael’s Soul Mate
Playboy Michael has never wanted to settle down. When he finds a severely injured woman lying in the street, his instincts insist he save her. He turns her into a vampire and takes her home, not realizing that this little random encounter is going to change his immortal life forever.

EXCERPT~
Anna felt a sense of familiarity now that she looked into his eyes. Like she’d seen him somewhere before, even if she had no actual recollection of it. That was silly though, obviously. Her memory or lack thereof was playing tricks on her.
She scooted a little closer to him. He wasn’t so bad after all. And damn, the subdued light from the stars above made him look even more handsome. If that was even possible.
Earlier, he’d kept their eye contact to a minimum. He’d even avoided physical contact, until their outing earlier. Now, her hand rested on the roof just beside his, their little fingers touching. He didn’t pull away, and neither did she.
And he continued to stare into her soul, making her heart beat faster. Was that her heart, though? Did vampires even have heartbeats?
She felt giddy and lightheaded. No matter how quickly he’d brushed it away, she was certain that this gesture meant something more than he was willing to admit.
“Do you come here often?” she asked, then grinned when she realized the cliché.
Michael smiled subtly. “Often enough to recognize a new face.”
This man had an infuriatingly gorgeous smile. To go with his infuriatingly gorgeous face.
Anna’s thoughts were swimming. She found it hard to focus on anything but the curve of Michael’s lips.
“It’s not so bad, this new life,” she mumbled.
His smile widened.
She leaned in, closer and closer. His scent filled her nostrils. Intoxicating and seductive, like an expensive cologne.
Michael similarly leaned toward her until their faces were only an inch apart.
And just like that, without planning to, really, Anna pressed her lips against his.
The heartbeat in her chest seemed to speed up to a high frequency buzz. Her chest filled with—she wasn’t quite sure with what. Excitement. Nerves.
Arousal.
She felt alive, like every one of her was synapses firing at an intensity she wouldn’t have thought possible before. Her whole body was electric, every inch of her skin highly sensitized.
Michael reached for her, slipping his hand behind her neck and cradling her as he returned her kiss. Their tongues collided and fireworks seemed to erupt behind her closed eyelids.
It was so beautiful, she had to fight back tears.
And just like that, it was over. Michael withdrew his hand and pulled away.
Anna opened her eyes in distress. Why? Why did he stop?
“I’m sorry, this isn’t fair on you,” Michael stammered. He refused to look her in the eye.
Had she misread the situation completely? Had he not just brought her here to this incredibly romantic spot and showed her all the beauty that lay at their feet? Had he not just tried to convince her that immortality wasn’t as scary and alien as it had seemed to be at first?
Did he not care for her?
“I’m sorry?”
“I shouldn’t have done that,” he said, shaking his head. “I’m your maker. It’s inappropriate.”
Anna didn’t know what to do or where to look as he got up, dusted off his trousers, and took a few steps away from her. She’d faced rejection in the past, but nothing like this. He’d been into it just now, hadn’t he?
“I don’t understand,” she mumbled, and wrapped her arms around herself protectively.
“Look.” Michael reached for her shoulder, then stopped about an inch away. “I’m really sorry. I got carried away in the moment. This isn’t right. I’ve taken advantage of your situation and I shouldn’t have. This is your first night as a vampire, and you don’t need to be wrapped up in all this.”
Anna frowned. Taken advantage? What the hell was he talking about?
“I kissed you,” she said. “If anyone took advantage—”
Michael shook his head. “No. I’m sorry. I’m going to go inside now. If you need anything, I’ll be in the library.”
Anna’s throat tightened, making it impossible for her to respond. Before she had the chance to regain her composure, he’d walked across to the edge of the roof and climbed down, possibly to enter through a nearby window.
Unbelievable.
She didn’t recall ever being faced with a guy acting this hot and cold around her, but then of course she wouldn’t. She didn’t remember much of anything.
What did it mean?
Anna pulled her legs up, wrapped her arms around them, and rested her chin on top of her knees.
A lot had happened today, and perhaps some peace and quiet was exactly what she needed. Not that it was particularly quiet up here. She could hear traffic, as well as the occasional siren, miles away. She tried to focus on the rustling of fallen leaves being carried by the odd winter breeze in the park.
That kiss, though. Holy hell. Despite the awkwardness of his sudden departure, and the confusion he left her in, she couldn’t get it out of her mind.
Was everything just more intense now that she was no longer mortal? He had overwhelmed her, turned her into a mushy mess of emotions and sensations that felt completely alien. Considering she didn’t have her memory back yet, this was essentially her first ever kiss now. She hated that it had to end so soon.
Although it was probably for the best. She had enough to worry already about without adding relationship issues into the mix.
If a little kiss felt this amazing, then what was sex like?
Anna groaned. She’d be a lot better off banning these speculations from her mind. He wasn’t into her, or at the very least, he didn’t consider her ready, whatever that meant.
And she wasn’t about to throw herself at some guy she’d known all of what—ten hours? Most of those hours she’d been passed out. How could she even know what kind of guy he was?
Plus, she wasn’t that kind of woman.
She might not remember the finer details of her old life, but she was certain of that fact.
Plus, he wasn’t even into her. Or was he?

MY REVIEW
Michael’s Soul Mate by Lorelei Moone
Trouble
Michael felt uncomfortable all evening, but couldn’t figure out why. It wasn’t the party or people that had him feeling this way, he just had a growing uneasiness feeling in his chest that he could no longer ignore. So he left the party earlier than he usually did, alone. While walking on his way home, he found a woman in an alley who had been drained, by another vampire and close to death. Who would do something like this, to someone as beautiful as her? *Killing was against the rules. And discarding a drained body out in public where it could so easily be discovered? That was sacrilege.(direct book quote*). Acting on instinct, he bit his own wrist and put it to her mouth and told her to drink. When she finally did, he bit into her wrist, drinking a small taste of her blood. Which completed the cycle, the Ritual was done. He’d created another vampire—tried to, anyway, they’d know for sure the following night. Now things would forever change.
Anna awoke in a strange room feeling like she’d been hit by a bus, wearing an old fashioned type nightgown with no memory of how she got there, and initially no memory of her own name. Even though the room was dark, she could still clearly see her surroundings, including the details of the picture frame across the room. Her sense of smell was heightened as well. Then she heard the muffled voices of two men, they must be in the next room. Before going to investigate the voices Anna ended up biting her lip, when she looked into the mirror she noticed how much longer and razor sharp her canine teeth were. Had these men done something to her teeth before bringing her there? Her mind must be playing tricks on her, right now she needed to figure out where and why she was there!
When Michael noticed Anna was awake he tried and failed miserably to explain what had happened to her. *Something about her threw him off balance. He’d lost not just his game, but his entire sense of self around her. It was infuriating.(*direct book quote). Anna couldn’t believe what he was telling her, she’s a vampire?!? No way, they don’t exist! Anna is finally starting to get it, but not only does Michael have to teach her how to be a vampire but now they have the people that did this to her in the beginning to worry about.
To find out what happens between Michael and Anna you’ll have to read MICHAEL’S SOUL MATE. I’ve enjoyed reading this series, and cannot wait for book 3 LUCILLE’S VALENTINE in February 2017 to be available. All books, including this one, in the Vampires of London series are standalone and can be read out of order. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book, via IndieSagePR for an honest blog tour review.

Lucille’s Valentine
Marek the Soul Eater has escaped and it’s Lucille’s job as Enforcer to return him to the Council. She’s not a team player usually, but when she finds Vampire Hunter Valentino Conti also on Marek’s trail, she decides to join forces. The longer they work together, the more their connection grows. What if the truth comes out? What if Valentino realizes Lucille is the very thing he’s been hunting all his life?

EXCERPT~
Valentino stole a glance at Lucille as they left the pub together. What a peculiar young woman. Everything about her, from the way she carried herself to her choice of Scotch signaled that she was an old soul. The fact that she had joined him out here meant that apparently she was fearless as well.
Was she part of the same underground he belonged to? The online message boards, the discussion groups that met virtually to discuss any supernatural activity they had come across. It had been one of those anonymous reports of vampirism that had brought him to London in the first place. Was she active in those circles? Or was her presence here a coincidence?
Her catlike movements as she walked alongside him toward the feeding site suggested she was strong and well trained. She definitely knew how to fight.
He wouldn’t be surprised if she had some hidden weapons somewhere underneath her long coat. He had some too, after all.
When they reached the bin he had inspected on his own earlier, he pulled out the bottle of Luminol again and sprayed the area where he knew the blood to be.
She leaned in closer and followed the direction of the spray pattern with her index finger.
“Interesting.”
Valentino smiled. “As I said, the evidence is right here.”
Lucille stood back and stared at the ground surrounding the area. “It wasn’t much of a struggle, so perhaps the victim came here willingly.”
Valentino raised an eyebrow. “How do you know this?”
Lucille pointed at a very faint muddy footprint which the winter rains had done their best to erase. “If two men had fought here, they would have knocked over some of these bags of rubbish. They would have left smudged prints and scuff marks from their shoes. I don’t see any of that here.”
She turned to face him, her eyes narrow and darting back and forth between him and their surroundings. “Do you think the murderer might have arrived here by train? Or is he a local?”
“I think he is not the sort of man who could travel by train without drawing too much attention to himself. He is the sort who stays in the shadows.”
Lucille nodded, as though she understood him perfectly, even those things he’d left unsaid. She really was peculiar, unlike any woman he’d met before.
Could he risk it?
It had been a long time since he’d ever told an outsider about his calling, and that had backfired spectacularly. Suddenly years of history didn’t matter anymore, and the woman he’d opened up to because he wanted to spend his life with her had simply left.
But this right here was different; there was no history. What did he have to lose?
“There are more things between heaven and earth than most people choose to see or believe…”
Lucille folded her arms as she focused on him. He had her full attention.
“This murderer is not strictly a man,” Valentino added.
“Why. Is it a woman?” she asked, cocking her head to the side.
The peculiar glint in her eye told him that he was on the right track. She was testing him; Valentino would bet his life on it.
“He’s a Nightwalker. A vampire.”
Lucille pursed her lips and glanced at the bin with the blood evidence on it, then back at him. The corner of her mouth twitched in amusement; it was so subtle he would have missed it if he wasn’t paying attention.
“You’re a hunter,” she remarked, as though it was the most natural thing in the world.
He nodded. She knew the terminology. Unless she was the best actress he’d ever come across, nothing he’d told her so far had shocked her in any way.
“You have unusual methods. More like a forensic investigator than a hunter,” she added.
He nodded again. “And your methods? Old school. More like a tracker.”
Lucille smiled briefly. “I favor a more intuitive approach.”
“Have you been at this long?” he asked. He was thirty-four, not old by any stretch of the imagination, but Lucille looked about ten years younger—exceptionally young for someone in their line of work. Perhaps it was a family affair for her, just like it had been for him.
“My entire life,” she said.
Fine, so she wanted to keep things vague. He didn’t mind. Their line of work was lonely and unappreciated for the most part. To run into another hunter was its own reward. He didn’t need anything more than that for now.
“How about you make good on that promise then?” she said. “Of buying me another drink.”
Valentino grinned. If she didn’t look so serious he might have thought she was flirting with him.
They walked back together, and he again marveled at her smooth, deliberate movements, the strong spring in her step. It was a lonely existence; living on the fringes of society, hunting creatures that most people only acknowledged in their nightmares.
The times had changed since his parents and grandparents had been around. Mainstream society no longer believed in the supernatural, as he had so painfully found out in the past. Continuing in their footsteps had earned him a solitary life. It would be a nice change of pace to combine forces with a like-minded soul.
Plus, Lucille was an exceptionally beautiful woman. He would be lying to himself if he thought that she hadn’t affected him on some deeper level. But he’d been at this too long to simply take other people at face value. He still needed to find out if he could trust Lucille.
“Right. Let’s get that drink then,” he said.
MY REVIEW
Lucille’s Valentine (Vampires of London, #3) by Lorelei Moone.
•Heart or Life?
Yet another amazing story by Lorelei Moone! I’ve been lucky to read the whole series so far. I don’t know how she does it, but each one gets better.
Lucille’s an Enforcer to the Vampire Council and has been for centuries. Since Marek escaped from the silver cage (that no ordinary vampire could have done), during his trial for not only killing humans but leaving them where they could easily be found thus potentially exposing ALL vampires. Lucille is ordered to go after him. This time she knows it’s going to be tougher than the first time to entrap him. While tracking Marek she comes across a human hunter who is also tracking Marek. They join forces to bring Marek to justice. However she didn’t count on her feelings from centuries ago coming to the surface. What is it about Valentino that has her actually connecting to a human. Will it cost her her life or her heart… Or maybe it’ll be both?
Valentino knows nothing except being a hunter of Nightwalkers-(vampires). Generations of Conti’s have done this, and he’s the last of them. His latest investigation has brought him to London. Which is where he’s found the intriguingly beautiful Lucille who is hunting the same monster he’s looking for, so they join forces to bring him down together. Does Lucille feel the same way about him as he has since their very first meeting? Or is he destined to always be alone?
To find out how a human hunter of vampires and a vampire work together to bring down a powerful soul eater, you’ll have to read LUCILLE’S VALENTINE. It’s another amazing vampire story! *This story is intended for adult audiences only. This is Book 3 in the Vampires of London series of standalone vampire romances. You can read this series out of order, but if you would like to read Book 1 and 2 first, check out Alexander’s Blood Bride and Michael’s Soul Mate.(* directly from book). Series Review~

I completely enjoyed reading this series, having the books in one is even better! You could read them add standalone novels, but to get the complete picture you need to read them in order and with this set in one you hit the jackpot! Each story is based on one of the vampires but they’re all inner-connected. Well worth the read!! It’s harder to review a series than an individual book because I don’t want to give anything away! I enjoyed reading each story and especially enjoyed the audible version, Gethyn Edward did an awesome job to capture the essence of the story (Book1)! *It’s the ultimate forbidden romance; the love between a mortal and a vampire. What is it that makes flirting with death so utterly tempting? Read on and find out. This story is intended for adult audiences only. Excerpt~

She took a deep breath. “As I don’t have a UK work visa, though, your HR department might figure out that something’s up. The other option would be for me to pretend to be your girlfriend.” She winced as his foot slid off the clutch mid-shift, and the car protested his attempted gear change.

“What makes you think I don’t already have a girlfriend? I don’t double dabble.”

She laughed, and he white-knuckled the gearshift. “Bonus points for the computer term. Have you been studying?”

“A little. But I realized I was out of my depth and had to call in an expert.” The look he sent her this time implied he still doubted her credentials. He’d see soon that she knew her stuff.

It probably wasn’t fair that she knew so much about him when, as shown by the fake cat-lady photo, he knew nothing about her. “I’m an expert. For example, I know that unless you’ve switched to more discreet female companionship, your last intimate relationship ended five weeks ago. She claimed you were, and I quote, ‘emotionally unavailable.’ But judging by the number of photos on Instagram of her kissing her dog, I assume you got tired of your girlfriend tasting like Shih Tzu.”

His laugh filled the car and drew an answering smile from her. “You’re not wrong. But how did you know I broke up with her? Maybe she shattered my heart?”

“Because shortly after your name stopped appearing in her social media feeds, she was suddenly sporting an expensive-looking tennis bracelet. I doubt men who get their heart shattered give their exes break-up jewelry.”

He shrugged but his face was still lit by a smile. “I write it off as a marketing expense.”

“I bet you have a whole line of relationship termination pieces.”

“True. I call it the ejection collection. Makes me a fortune.”

“Well, rest assured, I won’t be demanding any rocks if we go the fake girlfriend routine. Smacks of payment for services rendered to me.”
That elicited a raised eyebrow. “Will services be rendered? This is sounding like the better option.”

Masquerading With the Billionaire (Guide to Love #4) by Alexia Adams

•Choices

Although this is book 4 of the Guide to Love series it’s the first one I’ve read, as well as my first Alexia Adams story. Each story in this series is about the friends within their billionaire group, each one is it’s own standalone love story. I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed reading Remington “Wolfe” and Kat’s story. They had an instantaneous connection from first sure that’re neither of them expected or knew how to handle. It was interesting to read how they grew closer together add they worked at finding who was sabotaging Wolfe’s component whole he was working for the biggest job of his career. Kat has secrets she hasn’t told anyone, but somehow she starts to tell Wolfe stone of them, but can she trust him with them including trusting him with her heart? Wolfe has been burnt in the past by someone he loved, can he trust Kat enough to give her his heart? Will either of them let the other in the way, or will they continue to be alone? You’ll have to read Masquerading With the Billionaire to find out. I look forward to reading the other stories within this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual content this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.

Favorite Passage ~

~ “Your secretary has a vivid imagination. Or is this a common occurrence in your office?” “Surprisingly, you are the first of my ‘girlfriends’ to visit my office, which probably accounts for all the curiosity about you.

Excerpt~
It must’ve been the shots earlier, but a strange sense came over me. My mouth turned dry. My hands became balmy and my head suddenly wasn’t working right, because any other time, I wouldn’t have ever thought about this.
In this state, with her disheveled hair, her imperfect lips, and her skin flushed with heat, Seven looked sexy. Desirable. Lovable, even. And for the first time ever in my life, I wasn’t sure what to do next.
As if of its own volition, my hand drifted to her thigh, to the exact same place where the dickhead’s hands had been. For some reason, I wanted to erase every trace of his hands on her, replacing it with mine.
I glanced up to gauge Seven’s reaction. Any look of disgust that crossed her face would have me pulling back immediately. But instead, I encountered the opposite. Seven stared back at me as if entranced, her lips parted as she panted shallowly.
I waited for it. For her to say something like, “I’ll give you ’til the count of ten to take your dirty hands off my thigh before I scream.” Or something equally worse. But Seven sat there waiting, anticipation burning in her cerulean eyes. She didn’t actually want me to kiss her, did she?
I winced at the rush of blood that pounded in my temples like a dark beat. Suddenly, I wanted to. In the back of my mind, wicked thoughts swirled as I recalled the image of her wrapping those red lips around that shot glass earlier. It made the red-blooded male in me wonder what other things she could do with that mouth.
For the third time that night, I had to forcefully stop my mind from fantasizing about a certain blonde bombshell.
Yup. There was no doubt about it now. I was drunker than I had let on. I shouldn’t have ever given her a ride home. But it wasn’t the worry of crashing on the side of the road that terrified me. It was this unfamiliar feeling of wanting what you knew you shouldn’t that scared me now.
Yet all that seemed to be forgotten as this indiscernible draw pulled me closer to her. My hand on her thigh grew courageous, exploring more skin. Her eyes drifted shut for a moment, as if she wanted to get lost in this confusing emotion circulating between us as much as I did.
All this time, Seven remained wordless. It wasn’t in her to ask, I realized later. Seven had too much pride for that. But her eyes, the wide oceanic blue, told me all I needed to know.
I was looking into the eyes of a woman who wanted to be kissed.
And fuck me, I wanted to kiss her, too.
I leaned in, running my hand through her already finger-tossed hair. My hand caught in something. Gently, I tugged it free, only realizing later what it was. A hairpin with a golden wing attached to it.
I palmed it and slid it into my back pocket for now, not wanting anything to break this hypnotic moment. My hand immediately returned to her face, running over her cheek, registering the smoothness. All this time, I thought her to be prickly due to her personality. But her skin was baby soft. So different than I made her out to be.
I drew my hand towards the back of her head as the need to kiss her turned ravenous. I should’ve pulled back. Should’ve stopped this madness before it was too late, but fuck it all, her lips could tempt a saint.
The first pass of my lips over hers was electric. As she groaned, I deepened the kiss, luxuriating in her response. I didn’t know what was better —the way she curled her fingers into the back of my neck or how her tongue darted out to lick at the seam of my mouth. How had I never known this fire, this burning desire before?
Seven’s mouth was an aphrodisiac, a forbidden fruit that now that I had a taste of, I wanted more. Women threw themselves at me all the time. But none were as sweet as Seven.
My hands grew rougher as I tugged on her hair, tipping her head back so that I could run my mouth down her throat. I was surprised when she arched her back, further offering her body to me.
Like the greedy bastard I was, I took in my fill. Not just with my eyes, but with my hands too, reaching out to graze over her breasts and thighs. Her skirt slid up higher, bunching at her waist. Within the shaft of moonlight peering into the car, I could see the white scrap of fabric shielding her from my view. Oh my God—
Thought barely registered before Seven pushed me away. “Wait!”
What the hell? I backed off immediately, the bubble of passion popping like a balloon. It was akin to being yanked out of a dream. My mind felt muddled and disoriented like I had an out of body experience and was just coming back into myself.
“Shit.” In a flood, rational thought returned to me. “I shouldn’t have done that.” She was drunk and I had taken advantage of her. I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand as if I could remove every trace of what had just happened. But holy hell, I was harder than a rock!
Seven’s eyes had changed. They were no longer hazy. Gone was the willing, plaint woman of just moments ago; I was with the other Seven again. The one who despised me.
Had it really been different between us for a while there? One minute she was hot as fire in my hands and then, a second later, she was frigid again.
“I’m sorry but I can’t do this,” she whispered.
“Right.” I had no idea what the fuck had come over me, but this was crazy.
“You and I,” she said, indicating us with her hand. “We’re fire and ice. We don’t go well together.”
I swiped a hand over my hair, feeling more than just my dick deflating. “Thanks for reminding me.”
Her eyes turned sharp with my bitter tone. “I didn’t want to do something we’d both regret. That’s all I’m saying.”
“Yeah, I got it, sweetheart. You realized who you were tangling tongues with and it turned you off.”
“Lucky, I didn’t mean that. Don’t put words in my mouth.”
Shrugging, I returned to my full height. Shoving my hands into my front pockets, I stepped back, giving her space to get out of her car. “Go inside,” I said quietly. “Get some sleep.”
“Lucky,” she whispered.
I stared at her.
She stared back.
When Seven finally realized I wouldn’t say more on the topic, she huffed her frustration and slipped out of the car, adjusting her skirt from where my hand had pushed it up high on her hips. It only reminded me of the feeling of her soft skin beneath my palms. I clamped my mouth down tight as she walked past me.
“I’ll see you around then.”
“Yeah,” I replied dumbly as I walked towards the debris-laden road. “I’ll see you around.”
When I heard her go in and put the locks in place, I allowed myself to think about what I let happened.
So much for resistance. I had told myself that I wasn’t like the other fools. But not only had I fallen prey to the siren’s call that beckoned me, I’d fallen way further into the icy depths of hell. Never again, Dylan, I promised myself.
I’d been through hell once already and the whiskey there was shit. I wasn’t willing to go back a second time.
Not for any girl.

Review
ORIGIN (Glory MC #2) by Ana Jolene
•Fire and Ice
Although this is book 2 of the Glory MC series it’s the first one I’ve read, as well as the first Ana Jolene story. In all honesty I found it hard to get started reading this story, but once I was able to get into the story I couldn’t put it down until I reached the end. Now I cannot wait to read not only more Glory MC stories, but I look forward to reading about her other series Moonrise Beach, a Contemporary Romance series.
While I am ALWAYS up for a great MC story with lots of sexy, hunky bikers protecting their family, I’m not the biggest fan of New Adult Dystopian. However I completely enjoyed reading Lucky and Seven’s story. They are definitely the definition of Fire and Ice. But to read how things turn out for them you’ll have to read ORIGIN. I’m looking forward to hearing when the release of NIRVANA Glory MC series, Book3 will be. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual and adult situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.
Favorite Passage ~
~ I’ve always believed that it isn’t where you come from that determines who you are. It’s what you do with your days onward that do.”
