🔥 Synopsis 🔥
I’m the kind of guy who will do anything for a friend, so when my best mate, Max, gets sick I naturally want to help. He needs money for experimental treatment overseas and he needs it fast. So I round up the guys with an idea to raise the cash for him.

Stripping. Chicks love that shit, right?

At first, the guys are skeptical, but we’re a good looking group of men who who’ve been known to bust out a dance move or two, so we decide to go for it.

When Max offers his kid sister up for choreography, I think, great. We can use all the help we can get. The last time I saw Aubrey she was a loudmouthed twelve-year-old who wouldn’t leave me alone. Now, she’s twenty and possibly the sexiest woman I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Max has made it clear that his sister is off limits to me, because apparently, I have a reputation. He says he has enough to worry about without me chasing his sister.

Fine, I can respect that.

But I’m not sure she can.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Missy lives in a small town in Victoria, Australia with her husband and her confused pets (a dog who thinks that she is a cat, a cat who thinks he is a dog…you get the picture).

When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.

🔥 About Ashley Suzanne 🔥

Ashley Suzanne has been writing as long as she can remember. As a youngster, she was always creating stories and talking to her imaginary friends. Thankfully, her parents also carried this love of fiction, and helped her grow into the writer she is today.

Ashley is a bestselling author and spends equal amounts of time writing and reading. Being the true book whore she is, Ashley would rather dive into a good book before going out of her house. Giving up her career in Real Estate, Ashley has officially moved to hermit status.

When Ashley isn’t coming up with her next story, you’ll most likely find her on the couch with a kindle in her hand (probably watching some crappy reality show while , annoying her husband by telling him all about her new book boyfriend or spending quality time with her two gremlins … Sorry, I mean adorable children.

Review ~
Slow Grind (A Men of Mornington Novel –Book 1) by Missy Johnson and Ashley Suzanne
•Pain/Sorrow/Love
Max’s fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, again! He fought and beat it 10 years ago when he was 17, this time it’s beating him. Because Max is on his 3rd and final chemotherapy regimen. He told his mum it was ok to call and let his little sister Aubrey know what was going on, and to bring her home to Australia from the United States to be with him. She hasn’t been home in 10yrs, since she was 12 yrs old..
Drew(Andrew) is Max’s best mate, they supported each other when their respected parents were going through their divorces, and have always been there for each other growing up. *We’re his best mates. We have to try something.(*direct book quote). He’s completely SHOCKED when Aubrey gets there, *“Little Aubrey is all grown up,”(*direct book quote). Max tells him Aubrey is OFF LIMITS!
When Aubrey left Australia with her father for the United States after her parents divorce, she dropped all contact with everyone except her brother Max. She had been in love with Andrew when she was 12. He didn’t return her attention, only treated/seen her as a “Max’s little sister”, she was 6yrs younger than him. This one sided love affair was detrimental to her, in addition to the relationship between her & her mother, she just couldn’t find it in her heart for anything more than a casual sexual relationship with anyone. When she sees Max, it’s like she’s right back to when she was 12 all over again.
What plan does the group find to try and help Max? What happens between Aubrey and Drew? Are they able to fight their feelings or do they finally get together? What are Max’s feelings on everything going on around him? Lots of questions, you’ll have to read SLOW GRIND to find out the answers. This is my 1st Missy Johnson and Ashley Suzanne book, but it won’t be my last. I canNOT wait to read what comes next! This book uses British spellings and contains language and sexual situations not recommended to be read by those under 18. I received an ARC copy via IndieSage in exchange for a blog tour review.
Favorite Passages~
– “We’re his best mates. We have to try something.”Aubrey is all grown up,” he drawls, and the pure sex oozing off his voice is almost enough to take out my knees.
-“Thanks for calling her. I didn’t realise how seeing her face would make me feel better.”
