🎄ABOUT VICTORIA JAMES🎄
Victoria James is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance.

Victoria always knew she wanted to be a writer and in grade five, she penned her first story, bound it (with staples and a cardboard cover) and did all the illustrations herself. Luckily, this book will never see the light of day again.

Victoria is a hopeless romantic who is living her dream, penning happily-ever-after’s for her characters in between managing kids and the family business. Writing on a laptop in the middle of the country in a rambling old Victorian house would be ideal, but she’s quite content living in suburbia with her husband, their two young children, and very bad cat.

REVIEW ~
CHRISTMAS with the SHERIFF by Victoria James

•From Devastation to Love

Julia Bailey left Shadow Creek, the town she loved when her whole life crashed around her. After she had to bury both her husband and her son together. She dealt with the grief of losing them as well as the secret she learned afterwards. Now she’s back home to spend Christmas with the Bailey’s. Coming home was tough, but she’s comforted again by the extremely handsome sheriff Chase Donovan who helped her before. But by spending more time with him she dreams of a life she wishes she could have. But could she actually open herself to the possibility of losing it all again?
Chase and his daughter Maggie are two peas in a pod, as he tells her. After his wife ran out on them, Chase has done everything possible to make sure Maggie has everything she needs. Especially all the love he could possibly give her. Chase has secretly love Julia since they were kids, but she married his best friend. After they lost him Julia left town, now she’s back and he refuses to let her slip through his fingers again.
How can Chase convince Julia to open up her heart and let him in? How does he keep her from running away? Can Julia let go of the past as not only see, but let the love that’s right in front of her in? You’ll have to read CHRISTMAS with the SHERIFF to find out. This story was amazingly written, I thoroughly loved reading it. What a heartbreaking but love filled story! I received an ARC via IndieSagePr and Entangled Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

✳SYNOPSIS✳
Worst. Day. Ever. After Lyssa Barnett’s sister tricks her into reprising her role at Snowflake Valley’s annual children’s party, she doesn’t think anything can be worse than squeezing into her too-small elf costume. Then tall, dark, and way too handsome Nick Tavlock shows up to play Santa…and an unexpected storm leaves them snowbound in the isolated lodge.

The last thing Nick wants is to spend a cozy Christmas Eve with a trio of kids and the woman who dumped him. But as much as Lyssa frustrates him, he can’t stop thinking about her. And soon, he’s fighting very un-Santa-like thoughts of kissing a certain sexy Miss Elf under the mistletoe. As Nick starts to fall for Lyssa all over again, he knows it will take nothing short of a miracle to have Lyssa in his arms on Christmas Day.

✳ABOUT BARBARA WHITE DAILLE✳
From the time she was a toddler, Barbara found herself fascinated by those things her mom called “books.” Once she learned the words between the covers held the magic of storytelling, she wanted to see her words in print so she could weave that magic spell for others.

Not long after, she received “The Call” from Harlequin Books and sold her first two novels. Since then, her books have garnered many positive reviews, appeared on numerous bestseller lists, and won a number of awards.

Originally from the East Coast, award-winning author Barbara White Daille now lives with her husband in the warm, sunny Southwest, where they don’t mind the lizards in their front yard but could do without the scorpions in the bathroom.

Barbara hopes you will enjoy reading her stories and will find your own storytelling magic in them!

REVIEW ~
SNOWBOUND WITH MR. WRONG (Snowflake Valley Novel) by Barbara White Daill
•Compromise
After reading SNOWBOUND WITH MR. WRONG, it reminds me of what too many people forget about all year, especially this time of year. Showing you care comes from the heart and any relationship whether it’s a love relationship, family, friends, or even co-workers it’s always a compromise. This was a GREAT heartfelt holiday story that makes you smile. It was my first Barbara White Daille story, but I want to see what her other stories entail.
Lyssa is coerced into being Miss Elf again this year, by her sister Amber for her annual Christmas gathering for the children of Snowflake Valley. The only reason she agreed was because Amber needed her help, and she promised he wouldn’t be playing Santa this year. The minute she heard Santa say “HO HO HO” she was going to kill her sister, she’d recognize that voice anywhere. It was Nick, the same jolly ol’ elf she’d met at this same party last year, had a whirlwind romance with and then split up with a few months ago. Yep her sister was gonna pay for this!
The minute he walked into the room and seen her, someone was gonna pay! His business associate Michael and so called friend, convinced him to play Santa again this year. Michael gave him his word that there’d be a new elf this year. No matter how he tried to convince himself, he wasn’t over Lyssa, no one could take her place. As soon as he finished this gig he was out of here and away from her again, for good this time.
However Mother Nature had other plans. With a blizzard on the way, everyone packed up and hit the road off the mountain. Lyssa, Nick and three children end up stuck at the lodge, with no phone service until they can be rescued. At least they have shelter, food, water, heat and a generator just in case. How will things turn out between Nick and Lyssa? I loved how Nick dealt with situations with each of the children that surprised Lyssa in the process. Did she really know him, or give him a chance before walking away? You’ll have to read SNOWBOUND WITH MR. WRONG to find out what happens. While relaxing and reading this HEA love story, I dreamed of being stuck in a blizzard instead of the rain. I hope you do as well. I received an ARC via IndieSagePR and Entangled Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
FAVORITE PASSAGES ~
– That just shows you what amazing things can happen when people compromise.
