Alpha Squad: Boot Camp (A Steamy Bear Shiftier Paranormal Romance) by Lorelei Moone
Publication Date: March 21, 2017
Genres: Adult, Audio, Paranormal, Romance, Shifters
It has only been a few months since humanity has found out about the shifters that live in their midst. When the New Alliance leadership asks Eric King to join Alpha Squad, a joint taskforce supposed to promote cooperation between the shifters and human authorities, his loyalty to the cause doesn’t give him any choice but to agree. But is the squad actually supposed to be relevant, or is it just an eyewash, set up by the new Secretary for Shifter Affairs to make himself look good? And how is he going to concentrate on his training, when his inner bear is insisting that the squad leader is his true mate?
Major Janine Williams is not at all pleased when she is ordered to set up Alpha Squad. The initiative is just a gimmick, meant to pacify the shifter community, plus none of her male colleagues had wanted the job. But when she starts getting to know her team, especially tough East London bear shifter, Eric, she starts to wonder if perhaps it will be possible to make this task force a success, so long as everyone works together. And so long as she can manage to keep her relationship with Eric strictly professional..
ALPHA SQUAD: BOOT CAMP (A Steamy Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance) by Lorelei Moone Narration by Audrey Lusk
Just a few short months after the shifter emergence tensions are already running high. Asked to join Alpha Squad to promote cooperation between shifters and human authorities, Eric King is not convinced of its relevance. Despite suspicion that the Secretary for Shifter Affairs is simply using the Squad as a way to boost his image, Eric’s loyalty to the cause will not allow him to say no… But when Janine Williams catches his eye, Eric realizes he has much more pressing issues.
WOW!! I read this story before I listened to the audio version, but man oh man Audrey Lusk’s narration made the story even better. It was awesome to listen to the beginning build up of Alpha Squad while I was outside enjoying gardening in the sunshine. I really hope to hear more of the story soon. My Original Review ~
Another great start to a fascinating series. This is an awesome foundation base to what’s sure to be a great series. The spin off from the ending of Lorelei’s Scottish Werebears series is amazing. I’m excited to have more stories of her bear Shifters to read, and can’t wait for more in 2017!
Eric didn’t volunteer but did as he was asked when the leader of The New Alliance asked him to join the taskforce Alpha Squad- a joint effort between shifters and humans to supposedly to bridge the gap between them, which was supposed to be only on paper not an actual thing. But they think it’s vital to have one of their own on the inside of the team. The last thing he expected to find when joining the taskforce to police super naturals if needed, was his human mate. Can he keep their relationship strictly professional?
Janine was handed the assignment which was supposedly a promotion – but not really, of setting up the Alpha Squad. Which had highly unqualified shifters (who are stronger than regular people, so they’ll more than likely be harder to control), how are they going to react to a woman being in charge of the operation? Street getting to know the squad, she begins to think that maybe they could make a real go at this thing. However one of the bear shifters makes it tough to keep her thoughts professional, can she do it when their connection is different than she’s ever felt before?
Too see is they’re successful at setting up the joint taskforce with so many obstacles in their way as well as to see what happens between Eric and Janine you’ll have to read ALPHA SQUAD: BOOT CAMP. This is a standalone story that coincides with the Scottish Werebear series. Check out Scottish Werebear: An Unexpected Affair to find out where it all began.
