Synopsis
Marina Rossi is a tornado of personal chaos, always stumbling into trouble no matter how hard she tries not to. After being scarred by her family and placed into foster care as a teenager, she finds solace with Jasen until he’s moved to a new home. Because of all she’s endured, her biggest fear is being alone and her only goal in life is to create a loving family.

Jasen “Dex” Dexter aged out of the foster care system and dove straight into a career as a sniper in the Army. After nine years of service his platoon was ambushed, forever changing the course of his life. Now a police officer, Dex is known for being patient, calculated and methodical. He enjoys the solitude his life provides and wants to keep it that way.

Dex’s perfectly arranged life is turned on its head when he encounters Marina in a compromising situation. Even after twelve years apart it only takes them seconds to recognize one another. As Marina faces more trouble than one woman should, Dex feels his orderly life slipping away. While he tries to sort out his conflicted feelings, Marina becomes the target of a crazed stalker. If Dex doesn’t make a decision, it might be too late for both of them.

Excerpt ~

That night Jase slipped into my bed this time and held me again. I’ll never forget the feel of his bony arms wrapped around me. You’d think it was uncomfortable, but it wasn’t. His arms provided a safety I couldn’t remember feeling before then and haven’t since.
Jase whispered into my ear, “Tomorrow they’re gonna separate us, Mari.” He wasn’t Spanish but his Spanish accent was strong when he called me that. It sounded like he was saying Ma-dee. “I heard them talking downstairs. They don’t want us to get too close.” He moved his hand down between us, placing something cold in my hand and said, “I want you to have this. It was my grandma’s. The picture fell out a long time ago but it’s real silver and it’s pretty. You deserve pretty things, Mari. You deserve more than what you’ve been given.”
“I can’t take your grandma’s locket.”
“Yeah, you can. You deserve it. Someday when you find someone you love you can put their picture inside and wear it close to your heart.”
“Jase,” I whispered as emotion clogged my throat.
“Don’t let anyone hurt you anymore. If there’s another boy like Freddy, tell on him. I won’t be there to help you.” He moved his arm around me and pulled me tight to his chest while I clung to the silver locket in my hand.
“Jase—”
“Mari, shhh.”
I didn’t want to upset him so I nuzzled in close to him and fell asleep. When I woke the next morning, I was alone. I jumped up, threw my clothes on and ran downstairs, afraid that he was gone and I wouldn’t get to say goodbye. The social worker was passing through the doorway and I caught sight of Jase’s royal blue T-shirt he wore often already in front of her.
I thumped my way down the stairs at warp speed and screamed his name as I rushed out through the screen door and flung myself at him. I knew he couldn’t stay, but my heart was breaking and I couldn’t help but beg him. I needed someone with me who didn’t try to use me for sexual favors, who protected me, who cared about me.
“Please, please, please don’t go!” I begged as if he had control of what was happening.
He held me close while I wrapped myself around his scrawny body and held tight, all the while crying. The social worker said something I couldn’t hear clearly above my sobs and I felt his body jerk and heard him say, “Give me a minute, will ya? Hasn’t she been through enough? Let us say goodbye.”
“Mari. Mari, stop. Listen to me. I can’t stay. They won’t let me. But remember what I said. Take care of you. Protect yourself at all costs and tell if you have to. Don’t let anyone take advantage of you ever again. Mari, you’re beautiful and sweet and amazing, so much better than the rest of us. Keep the locket close to you and know I’ll always think of you.” Then he kissed the side of my head because he wasn’t tall enough to reach the top. As he stepped away and climbed in the backseat of the car he said, “You’re gonna be okay.”
The last glimpse I had of Jasen Dexter was of his gorgeous aquamarine eyes luminous with tears that sat on the edges of his eyelids but never fell. He was tough as nails even back then

Finding Heart (Colorado Veteran Book 2) by Tiffani Lynn
• Locket
What a tear jerking prologue, but DEF a way to get you to dive right in! OH BOY!!! I’m gonna tell you now that you’re gonna need a WHOLE BOX of tissues while you read this story, but man is it worth it! There will be lots of tears through hurt, pain, and most of all love. I wondered if Dex(aka Jase) and Marina(aka Mari) would ever find their true happiness or would forever be in pain alone. You’ll have to read Finding Heart to find out. This is the 2nd book I’ve read by Tiffani as well as the 2nd story in this series. While they are their own standalone HEA love stories, they do flow together. I cannot wait to see what’s next in Finding Passion (Colorado Veterans Book 3) due August 2017. I voluntarily reviewed ARC of this book via IndieSage for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual and adult situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.

Finding Purpose (Colorado Veteran Book 1) by Tiffani Lynn
•‘Get busy living or get busy dying’
Sometimes you don’t know how much your life will change in an instant. When you find that one true love and leave it behind or it leaves you behind you have to make a choice. Will you stay in that sorrowful rut of pain and loss and allow it too ruin your entire life, or will you push it to the back of your mind (or at least try/pretend to) and continue to make something of yourself? That is just the scenario of Quinn and Judson’s story. There will be lots of tears through hurt, pain, and most of all love. I was hooked from the beginning wondering what was going to happen next, as well as wondering if either of them will find thier happiness they both not only crave but deserve. In order to find that out for yourself you’re going to have to read Finding Purpose for yourself, it’ll be worth your time! This is my first Tiffani Lynn story, but it won’t be my last! I am excitedly waiting for Finding Heart (Colorado Veterans Book 2) due June 2017. I voluntarily reviewed ARC of this book via IndieSage for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual and adult situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.

Excerpt ~

As soon as he cut the engine outside the barn, he heard a large crash from inside followed by a slew of curses.

Haley.

With his gut knotted tight, he crossed the yard and entered on a sprint. “Haley…Jesus,” he muttered, finding her underneath a pegboard and a pile of tools. Sharp ones. Shit.

“Now you show up,” she scoffed.

He hoisted the peg board and tossed it aside. “What the hell happened?”

“Had a fight with a wall and lost.” A smirk twitched her full lips and gleamed in her whiskey gaze.

“That’s not funny.”

“Damn straight.” She frowned. “It hurts like a bitch.”

He ran a hand through his hair. “How the hell did you manage to knock this over?”

“Quite well, actually.”

Smartass.

He knelt beside her and leveled his gaze on her. “That’s not what I meant, and you know it.”

“Did I?” She tipped her chin and narrowed her eyes. “Hard to tell underneath all that accusation and condemnation dripping from your tone. I’m not one of your Rangers, Warlock. That hard stare of yours won’t work on me.”

Christ. He didn’t need this shit.

She made to get up, pushing a few tools out of the way, and that’s when he noticed the blood dripping down her arm.

“Stay still,” he ordered, grasping her unharmed arm to hold her steady. “Let me have a look.”

A quick inspection deemed it deep but not stitch-worthy, thank God. He yanked off his shirt and wrapped it around her arm, ignoring her gasp as he tied it tight until he could get her in the house for some proper first aid. But he didn’t want her moving until he examined the rest of her body for injuries.

With his training kicking in, he ran his hands over her, noting a small cut on her cheek, another on the back of her hand, and a bruise on her other wrist, no doubt from covering her face.

“You okay?” he asked, staring into her dazed eyes. “Are you hurt anywhere else?”

She blinked and focused her gaze on his face, then shook her head after she opened her mouth and nothing came out.

Christ.

His insides twisted when he took in the mash of clippers, hammers, screwdrivers, and pliers scattered around them. She was lucky. So damn lucky.

After helping her to her feet, he bent to scoop her in his arms.

“W-what are you doing?” She wiggled as he carried her across the yard, trying his damndest not to notice the soft curves brushing his chest.

“Taking you inside to fix your arm. Stay still.” Awareness already spread through his body, waking up parts that had no business enjoying the feel of his dead friend’s widow cradled against him.

Haley grunted. “I can walk.”

“Good to know,” he replied, but continued to hold her as he stepped onto the porch. “Get the door.”

With a loud sigh, she reached out and twisted the knob. “Okay, you can put me down now.”

“Where’s your first aid kit?” he asked, ignoring her protests.

She closed her mouth and stared at him, her eyes twin pools of pissed-off brown. God, she was gorgeous. And damn, he did not need to have his arms full of her hot curves.

He muttered an oath. “You can keep quiet all you want, but I’m just going to stand here and hold you until you tell me.”

Even if it killed him.

Review ~
The Right Ranger (The Men of At Ease Ranch #3) by Donna Michaels
•Trust
Another GREAT At Ease story, I cannot wait to read what comes next. No matter what is going on as soon as I get my grubby hands on one of her stories I can’t wait to sit back, kick up my feet and read what’s happening with the guys on the ranch, they all deserve their happily ever after. Each story is its own standalone HRA love story but each one builds a bigger picture while you get individual backgrounds of one specific couple. I haven’t read any of Donna’s other series yet but just by the titles they make me want to jump right in and see how hot they are. This is Cord and Haley’s story, two people whom want the other but are afraid to act upon their attraction because of Drew….. The one ranger who didn’t make it home with them. You’ll have to read The Right Ranger (The Men of At Ease Ranch #3) to find out their story, oh but it’s MORE than worth the time! I cannot wait for the next At Ease story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older!

Review ~
Her Secret Ranger (The Men of At Ease Ranch #2) by Donna Michaels
Secret Cowboy
Another awesome story about the men of At Ease Ranch! This is the first series that I’ve read by Donna, but it won’t be the last. With the way the story unfolds one you start reading you cannot put it down until you reach the finale. Beth has returned to where her former Ranger brother has made a home for himself at the At Ease Ranch, for work and get best friends wedding. Being just one town away means she gets to see him more often than she has for the last few years. Now that she’s back she ended up meeting up with her weekend hook-up from a few weekends ago, whom she had a fabulous time with. But she had a feeling he’s former military so she doesn’t mention him to get over-protective brother. While getting to know Brick outside of the bed she finds out he’s a former Ranger, which means her brother and him have something in common and it might work in their favor, but then again Cord is very overly-protective of her. But do Brick and Cord have more in common than Beth knows? You’ll have to read Her Secret Ranger to find out. I loved this story as well as the series, I cannot wait to see what happens next and get MORE Men of At Ease Ranch. Each story is it’s own standalone story of the men on the ranch, you won’t be lost if this were there first book of the series you decided to pick up. But with that being said you’d miss some background information from book about another couple who found their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this HEA via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older!

In A Ranger’s Arms (The Men of At Ease Ranch #1) by Donna Michaels
•Changes
Stone Mitchum, his brother Brick and their buddies Vince and Cord all former Army Rangers are building At-Ease Ranch *to give returning veterans a purpose, a reason to exist, and a place to stay on their ranch, if needed.(*direct book quote), in Joyful Texas. Besides running the ranch, they have Foxtrot Construction as well as renting out downtown storefronts to help bring in fund to help those returning veterans.
Jovy was sent to this cattle town by her grandfather, to set up a successful business as a contest between her and her cousin. So he could decide which of the two would be the next CEO so he could retire. However there’s a major twist….. These beef eating cowboys are not going to want to eat at a gluten-free, vegan café. This is a huge obstical, however how in the world is she going to get this done with the instant attraction that sizzles between her and her landlord Stone Mitchum? The attraction zinging between them could start an electrical storm with a raging fire in the pouring Derain. Absolutely nothing could’ve prepared her for the memorable event of their kiss!
To see what happens between Stone and Jovy you’ll have to read In A Rangers Arms. I absolutely loved this story! It deals with some PTSD issues that could be troublesome to some that are sensitive to those issues. What a great story!! I received an ARC via IndieSage through NetGalley in exchange for an honest blog tour review.
Favorite Passages~
~ all business and no play makes Stone a very dull rock.

Tasty Q&A with Donna Michaels

•Describe yourself in five words or less.

I love to entertain readers.

•Name one thing you won’t leave home without.

My cellphone. Yep, I’m one of them. But only because I am usually waiting for an email or message from an author, publisher, editor…etc, and need to multitask my personal life errands into my day, too.

•What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?

My favorite scenes to write are the sparring scenes between the hero and heroine. When the hero has met his match, or vice versa . There were several of those scenes in The Right Ranger.

•Are there certain characters you would like to go back to, or is there a theme or idea you’d love to work with?

Yes, there are several characters I’d love to go back to, but shhh…don’t tell my other ones. The two that immediately come to mind are Kit Katt and Pierce DeVein from my humorous paranormal, The Spy Who Fanged Me. They are agents from different departments. She’s a black panther shifter and he’s a vampire and they’re forced to work together to bring down a dangerous gnome. Kit was by far the most fun I ever had writing a heroine. Between her can do attitude, her capabilities, and the fact she has catlike tendencies that get in the way at the most inopportune times, I would love to write another mission for her and her man/vampire. 😊

•Can you tell us about your upcoming book?

Right now, I’m writing book 4 in The Men of At Ease Ranch series. This is Vince’s book. He’s been the easygoing happy guy throughout the series, and longs to have a relationship like his buddies have found. But, it’s like they say, be careful what you wish for. He’s discovering that his idea of the ideal significant other is flawed, relationships aren’t always easy, and they come when you least expect it. He is definitely one of my fun characters to write.

Blurb
RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O’Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson “has the hottest brothers ever!” And in FEEL ME, Declan, the sexy, driven powerhouse meets the one woman immune to his charm . . .

Declan O’Brien was always driven to take his place among Philly’s elite, working hard for everything he’s earned, including the title of Assistant District Attorney. He’s won seemingly impossible cases, so he’s furious when he’s assigned to lead the one unit he doesn’t want.

Melissa Fenske was born hearing impaired to a neglectful mother, finding solace when she was adopted by a young attorney, now Declan’s boss. As the current Director of Victim Services, Melissa’s livid when Declan is placed in the main unit she oversees. She can’t forget their disastrous first encounter. Or shake how he makes her feel.

Declan considers the assignment another step toward his political aspirations, despite that he can’t get Melissa out of his mind. Melissa sees Declan as egotistical and self-serving, kicking herself for how fast she’s falling for him. Someone as hot, smooth, and perfect as Declan isn’t supposed to want her.

In another situation with any other woman, Declan wouldn’t hesitate to take Melissa to bed. But she is the boss’s daughter, and for once, Declan finds himself wanting more than just a one night stand.

Neither counted on each other. Both just met their match.

imageExcerpt ~

My boss, Miles Fenske walks in, followed by his daughter Melissa. Miles smiles warmly, nodding my way.

Mel? What can I say? She’s the one person who’s never been taken by my charm. Today’s no

different. Unlike the other women who work here, from interns to attorneys, she doesn’t meet me with a grin, flash a little leg, or pretend to flirt. Her hair is brown and her eyes are almost as dark. Nothing extraordinary about her appearance, right?

Damn, I wish that were true. Her creamy skin makes her hair and eyes stand out, as if that killer hourglass figure isn’t enough. And don’t get me started on her lips. They look like they’ve been dipped in honey and soften her look further, despite her steel-hard exterior.

She walks in with her hips swinging, her bright red dress hugging her curves. With an unyielding stare she meets my eyes, giving nothing away, no matter how hard I’ve chipped at that armor.

Mel doesn’t like me. Not that I blame her considering the way I keep wrecking each rare moment we find ourselves alone. Of course, she has to be the one woman I can’t get out of my mind …

“How are you, Declan?” Miles asks.

I reply with a stiff nod rather than the grin I usually offer him. This is a man I admire the hell out of. Not just because of what he’s accomplished in the political arena and in the judicial circuit, but because he’s a good man. Not someone trying to be good. Just someone who is, a rare entity in the circles we frequent.

Today that smile is not going to happen. Whether he meant to or not, the old man screwed me. Yesterday, when he called me into his office, I thought it was to tell me I would head Homicide or maybe White Collar. SACBU was not where I expected to land, ever.

“I’m well, Miles. And you?” I ask. Pissed or not, I won’t disrespect him, especially in front of his daughter.

“Fine. Thank you,” he responds. His deep voice is pleasant as always, but for some reason Melissa bristles. As her father looks to Curran and shakes his hand, my eyes trail to her.

“Mel,” I say, adding a subtle tilt of my chin. It’s not much of a greeting, but it’s more than she’s ever offered me. I don’t think she’s ever smiled in presence. But it’s not like I don’t deserve it. Hell, I still cringe when I think about the first time we met, and every moment that followed.

“Declan,” she replies. Her voice is clear enough to understand, but similar to those with significant hearing loss. Miles mentioned she learned to speak late in life, and that she articulates in the way she hears others. But her voice isn’t what gives me pause.

This is the first time she hasn’t addressed me by my title.

Miles laughs at something Curran says before Curran turns and lifts his hand. “Gotta run. See youz later.”

“Later, Curran,” I say. I keep my attention on Melissa, motioning for her and Miles to sit as I resume my professional pose.

Curran grins at Melissa. Before she can take a seat, he signs something I don’t understand. Whatever it is brings out a smile I’ve never managed to stir. She signs in return, her reply making him laugh out loud.

I don’t have to guess they’re talking about me, because that’s what they do. The hard stare I toss my brother’s way is enough to let him know today is not the day to piss me off. He winks and grins anyway since sometimes, no matter what, Curran could give a damn.

FEEL ME (O’Brien family #4) by Cecy Robson
•Struggles
Wow… Just finished reading this emotional story! I love the O’Brien family! Although this is my 2nd and the 4th of the O’Brien series, I didn’t feel as though I came in the middle of a story. Each story is it’s own standalone HEA focusing on one O”Brien sibling. I cannot wait to read the entire series in order (including the two I’ve already read, to see the little details I’ve missed), as well as more of Cecy’s books. I have been completely sucked in as soon as I start reading! This story focuses on Declan and Melissa, their stressful jobs bring them closer together but Declan doesn’t believe in love…. well not for him anyway, his siblings yes… it’s blatantly obvious when he sees them together. But for him its always been just his career. Melissa’s world is crashing around her when her father’s cancer returns and he appoints Declan as acting D.A. of her unit SACU, where he most definitely doesn’t want to be. Can they work together or will it be a walking disaster? You’ll have to read FEEL ME to find out, but this is an emotional story that deals with some pretty tough situations. Oh but it’s so worth reading! Due to sexual situations and adult language, this book is recommended for readers 18 and older! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review.

Crave Me (O’Brien family #3) by Cecy Robson
• Protection
I just finished reading CRAVE ME my first Cecy Robson novel. It may be the 3rd book of the series but I didn’t feel lost while reading it. Each story is it’s own standalone HEA focusing on one O”Brien sibling. I cannot wait to read the other stories. Although they don’t need to be read in order I plan to go back and read them that way so I can read what I’ve missed! I was hooked from the beginning to the end. This one focuses on Erin (aka Wren) and Evan… I literally laughed out loud due to these characters, they go through quite a bit, but several times throughout this story… and is just possibly an Amazing Love Story! Due to sexual situations and adult language, this book is recommended for readers 18 and older! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review.

I’m going to spank that delectable ass with every damn pervertible I can find. Hairbrushes, wooden spoons, spatulas, and I might even try a damn baking sheet. That ass of yours is always going to be prettily pink and perfectly swollen while you’re under my roof.”

My name is Mark Matthews. I own half of London, and the part I don’t own, I’m working on.

Life was all going swimmingly well until Michael Redcliff entered my life, demanding that I marry his daughter. Actually, swap demand for blackmail. He’s got goods on me that I want no one else to see, so for the time being I need to be his little lapdog.

I’ll marry his daughter. I’ll give him all the status, money and power he can handle… for as long as it takes me to get a divorce. You see, I can’t renege on our little arrangement – but she can. I give her a week. One week and she’ll be screaming the place down for her legal counsel.

I am never wrong.

AUTHOR BIO:
Christina Mandara is a USA TODAY bestselling author and tends to write dark romance with lashings of kinky naughtiness. Her favourite pastime is travelling, and if it involves sun, sea and… sand then it’s all good.

In her spare time she’s usually cuddled up with a good book, exploring the countryside or baking in the kitchen. In fact, she loves her kitchen so much she’s one of few woman who wouldn’t mind being tied to it! Her first and foremost love is writing, however, and more often than not you’ll find her on a laptop spinning tales of romance, erotica or dark, paranormal fantasies.

She’s a big fan of BDSM in all of its glorious forms, and her favourite item in the toy closet (a box simply isn’t big enough) is her riding crop.

The Velvet Chair (Velvet Lies #1) by C. P. Mandara
•Between a Rock & a Hard Place
This is my first C.P.Mandara story and it’s an intense BDSM story. Jennifer is being torn in two as far as what to do. Does she follow what her father wants or does she finally open up to her new husband? Mark wants Jennifer but he knows that he can’t trust her, or can he? Will he ever listen to her or continue to believe the worst? This is a great start to a new series, I’m looking forward to more. Brewer Ross has given up on love…until he meets a woman who turns his life—and brewery—upside down.
Ross Hoffman held the potential for a perfect life in his hands—a life with Evelyn, the only woman he’d ever allowed himself to love, their baby and…her husband, Austin Fitzgerald, who also happened to be his best friend. But the challenge of trying to make a threesome into something acceptable—let alone the thought of actually sharing Evelyn with anyone—forces him to bolt. Determined to put all thoughts of their relationship behind him, Ross jumps headfirst into a new brewery job in Colorado, and back into the sort of sexual decadence that he hopes will distract him from his misery.
When he agrees to assist Austin through a spate of brewery mishaps, he lays eyes on his true fate—in the form of the petite, mysterious and exotic Elisa Nagel. Hired as assistant brewer, Elisa is absolutely everything he believes he doesn’t want in a woman. But he’s drawn to her in ways he can’t explain, and he can’t help but fall hard, fast and deep, which places him square in the middle of her horrific, until now secret backstory.
Ross is determined that his love will conquer and overcome the horrors of Elisa’s past, allowing her to trust him with the only thing he desires—her heart.
Reader Advisory: This book contains a scene with attempted rape and violence, as well as a brief scene alluding to person being drugged and raped.

Author Info
Amazon best-selling author, mom of three, Realtor, beer blogger, brewery marketing expert, and soccer fan, Liz Crowe is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Louisville currently living in Ann Arbor. She has decades of experience in sales and fund raising, plus an eight-year stint as a three-continent, ex-pat trailing spouse.

Her early forays into the publishing world led to a groundbreaking fiction subgenre, “Romance for Real Life,” which has gained thousands of fans and followers interested less in the “HEA” and more in the “WHA” (“What Happens After?”). More recently she is garnering even more fans across genres with her latest novels, which are more character-driven fiction, while remaining very much “real life.”

With stories set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch, in successful real estate offices and at times in exotic locales like Istanbul, Turkey, her books are unique and told with a fresh voice. The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight, frustrate and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.

Don’t ever ask her for anything “like a Budweiser” or risk bodily injury.

Excerpt ~(Rated R for language)

Thank you. I know getting away from Brad’s operation is no mean feat.”

“Yeah, well, it was easier than you might think.” Ross averted his gaze. He wasn’t ready for that true confessions moment yet. “Down to business—what’re you paying me for this little vacation?”

“Your usual fee,” Austin said. “Plus a bonus if you get us to the export barrelage target. Same as Elle’s.”

“Great.” He hesitated. “We going in there, or what?”

“You should know that Elle is, um, off-limits.”

“Who? Oh, the gun-Frau? No sweat. I’m swearing off chicks. One of them cost me my—”

Austin raised an eyebrow when he hesitated.

“Never mind. Tell ya about it later. Let’s go. I need to get my hands dirty. I have a bonus to earn and a boss-lady to meet.” Unwilling to engage in any more heart-to-heart, he jumped out of the truck, shouldered the bag containing everything he owned in the world, and grinned at the smell coming off the building. He took a big sniff. “Ah, I love the smell of a mash-in in the morning.”

“It’s four o’clock in the afternoon, dumb ass.” Austin walked by him and opened the metal door. The odors of the second shift of a brew day got stronger. “Come on. Let me introduce you to your new boss. She’s eager to get going, too.”

Ross nodded, ducked inside, squinted through the steam rolling from the huge brew kettle and spotted the small figure, above him on the catwalk between the brewing vessels. She was facing away, hands on her hips, yelling something that it took him a half second to register was in German. He was reminded of her petite stature from that hospital horror but now, dressed in her sweat soaked brewery T-shirt, cargo shorts and rubber boots—the usual brewer’s uniform—he saw the strength in her wiry arms and legs.

The steam cleared some, giving him a better view. The noise of the busy brewery faded from his ears as he caught sight of that bizarre mass of blond dreadlocks, currently piled up and tucked under a loose cap. He took a step forward, trying to ignore the strange, tingly sensation in his scalp as he watched and listened to her bark orders in mixed English and German while she marched back and forth on the raised metal path.

Someone shouted her name. She turned and looked down, meeting his eyes. Hers seemed to shine out from the steam—the oddest mix of blue and gray. Ross stumbled backward at the force of her exotic beauty and the realization that he had, indeed, been obsessing since meeting her the first time.

The small-featured, perfectly proportioned face that should have been overwhelmed by that bizarre hair-do was, instead, complemented by it. Her tight, compact body was likely a full foot shorter than his, if not more. She frowned, as if trying to place him, then stood straight, arms crossed. The light caught the small gem in the left side of her nose. When she tilted her head, he caught sight of the barbell in her eyebrow.

A shiver of raw, terrifying, primal lust shot down his spine, making him stumble forward a step or two. He’d bet his first consulting payment from his friend Austin that she was pierced in other places—places on her that he wanted to see, to taste, to feel so badly at that moment he realized he was breathless.

He could make out the tatts on her arms and knuckles—oddly matching his own. As well as a slash of black around her long, porcelain-skinned neck. The sight of that made his chest hot and tight. The full effect of her made him feel so completely weird—somehow dizzy in a way he didn’t like at all.

He heard Austin clearing his throat somewhere to his left and realized he and this creature had been staring at each other for a full minute in silence. He dropped his gaze first.

“Elle,” Austin called up to her. “This is Ross. Ross Hoffman. He’ll be…”

“Your humble assistant,” Ross barked, needing to move or speak or something to shake the way his body had reacted to her. “As of now.” He grinned up at her. Her frown deepened. His dick stirred at the sight of it.

Well, that’s just great. I’m obviously losing my mind. She’s the opposite of everything I like about the female form—short, wiry, angular and hard-looking and that hair…

“Hoffman,” she said, her voice as sharp as she looked. “Welcome to Fitzgerald Brewing Company. It’s about time you got here. Now, move your sorry ass and get to work. We’re behind, in case you haven’t been informed already.”

He blinked up at her like a dolt. She’d spoken clearly enough, but in citified, Berliner-accented German. His smile widened. She smiled back for a brief second, then moved away from the railing. Something about that—her sudden, almost reactionary shift out of his line of vision—caused a strange sort of protectiveness to surge through him.

Yep. I’ve gone ‘round the bend for sure. Or I’m suddenly so homesick for the Fatherland, the sound of some chick speaking German is making me horny.

Lightstruck: Brewing Passions #2 by Liz Crowe

• Frustration

Another emotional Brewing Passions story by Liz Crowe! Heartbreak from the very beginning but ending with an absolute HEA! UGH it’s hard to know what to write without giving too much of the story away. Although this is a continuation from book1, it could still be read as a standalone story…. However I’m glad I read Tapped first, it just gives you more information and details of Ross! And why he had to leave, but at the same time why he rushed back home in Lightstruck after receiving frantic texts from Austin. They are forever a banded family of friends. I cannot wait to see what’s next! Elisa has been running and hiding from her past. She refuses to allow it to catch up with her. Can Ross show her its ok to stop running? Will they both run toward each other or continue to go it alone? You’ll have to read Lightstruck to find out. Just remember the tissues, but your cheeks might hurt from the easy going banter between Ross and Elisa too.Due to explicit sexual content and the sharing partners this novel is for readers 18 and older. TAPPED (Brewing Passion #1) by Liz Crowe

•Intense

After two years inside the beer and wine sales business Evelyn is now one of the only women in the testosterone filled world of beer sales. She has found her niche working with Tri-City Distribution. Now her boss has told her that she has to drop her scheduled route to cater or as she sees it babysit the trust-fund brewery owner who used his daddy’s money to open the brewery and gallivant around the world getting his degree in brewing science. Now she has to spend the day trying to push hipster beer at her best stores, which is a total waste of her day. As Evelyn tells her boss she refuses to suck up to Austin Fitzgerald and refuses to give him any special treatment. When she met Austin’s deep green eyes she was struck dumb instantly.

Austin’s day became instantly brighter when he met Evelyn, his new ride along buddy for the day. Although he has many issues back at the brewery and doesn’t need the time away from the brewery, he’s now looking forward to his day. Although he’d finally given into his mother harping on him about marrying Valerie Marston, she had honestly slipped his mind as soon as he met the gorgeous Evelyn Benedict and he couldn’t resist trying to encourage the instant connection they have. But he cannot understand his instantaneous lust toward Evelyn. He knew she was going to try to resist whatever had happened between them when they first met, but he wasn’t going to allow that to happen.

To find out what happens with their intense work and personal relationship, you’ll have to read TAPPED (Brewing Passion Series Book1). It’s an intense story about love, and then their dynamic changed yet again when they run into young Austin’s brew master best friend Ross. It was an emotionally interesting story. I look forward to reading more of this series. Due to explicit sexual content and the sharing partners this novel is for readers 18 and older. • What we do for LOVE
Warning: This is the End, Baby is a dark romance. Extreme sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for you. This is the End, Baby is the seventh and final book in the series. Oh my!!! It’s impossible to write a review about this book without giving anything away….. You HAVE to read this series in order…. I still haven’t went back to read books 1 & 2 yet but I will and then I’ll re-read the complete series. K. Webster is am awesome story teller, the twists and turns that come out of nowhere keep you guessing as to what’s going to happen next. I can’t wait to see what’s next on the horizon. Due to explicit sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
REMEMBER This story is NOT for everyone. This IS a love story. This IS a dark story.
Please be ADVISED before reading this book it may have some valid triggers. So PLEASE if you have a prejudice viewpoint regarding this DARK LOVE STORY (sexual themes and violence), that you cannot set aside while reading a fictional story, then please STOP reading and find another book. It would be unreasonable & unfair to the author if you read and then rated their work poorly based on personal feelings instead of the fictional work the author has produced. THIS ISN’T OVER, BABY (War and Peace #3) by K Webster
•Holy Toledo
Warning: This Isn’t Over, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story.
This story is NOT for everyone.
This IS a love story. This IS a dark story.
With this being the 3rd book of the War & Peace series by K. Webster and the 1st one I’ve read, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. So I’m not quite sure how to review this book, without giving too much away. Having not read the previous books, I can’t compare their shock value to book 3, but Holy Toledo this one is OFF THE CHARTS. Although the author recommends reading the series in order, because Gabe gave information about his younger years, I was able to get enough background information about the story to understand what was going on with him without being completely lost. HOWEVER I think it would’ve been better if I had read them in order to get the complete little details instead of bits and pieces to understand the characters better.
Hannah’s parents are Baylee and War. Gabe has watched Hannah throughout her life, but has had to do it secretly because of their past connection. He’s always loved her and promised he’d protect her and one day they’d be together. While her parents are out of the country she goes to a college party, drinks, two guys drug her, rape her & Gabe saves her from them.
Hannah is depraved, Gabe swooped in and became her whole world, but now even he worries sometimes if he’s in over his head with her. She is wickedly crazy!
*Villains need love, too*(direct book quote)
DEFINITELY an emotional and sometimes extremely disturbing roller coaster that’ll have you
turning the page to find out what happens next, while others may want off the ride. The book leaves you guessing and questioning what is coming next, Due to explicit sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This Isn’t You, Baby (War and Peace#4) by K Webster
•Lies
Warning: This Isn’t You, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes, excessive drug use, and violence, which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for YOU.
This story will make YOU smile.
This story will make YOU angry.
This story will make YOU crazy.
I hope YOU love it, baby.
After his sister Hannah murdered Brie’s mother and then her father Gabe and Hannah ran off together, Ren’s father promised Gabe they’d keep an eye on her. (You’ll have to read This Isn’t Over, Baby #3 to find out why). Since then Ren has been Brie’s adoptive parents summer lawn boy for three years. Within that time Ren has fallen head over heels in love with Brie and would do anything for her. The problem is he cannot tell her he’s in love with her because he hasn’t told her who his sister is and why he was originally sent there. Even by omission it’s a lie that hangs over them like a dark cloud, and lies always come out.
Although her adopted father has always leered at her like he wants to consume her. He’s also groomed her from the beginning to be married off as soon as she turns 18 to one of Camilo Rojas 3 sons. Whom is his business partner, and one of the richest men in Colombia, his cocaine empire is virtually untouchable by the American feds. This will join their two families, but Brie is in love with Ren. After finding out that she and Duven will be married the morning of her birthday she gives herself to Ren. After Duven rescues her from her adoptive father’s house he tells her she can see whomever she wants as long as she returns to him each night. But things change quickly. What happens between Ren and Brie? Things get pretty intense in this story (the whole series), but it’s worth reading!
This is the 4th book in the THIS ISN’T YOU series, although I missed the first two, I’ve enjoyed reading on to see how the story continues to unfold. This one as with at least book 3 (since that’s the only other one I’ve read so far) doesn’t technically end on a cliffhanger but, it does leave you dangling with a bite of who book 5 will be about. And of course ends on a high dramatic climax, with you wanting book 5 to be ready now! I’ll be looking forward to not only getting my greedy hands on it, but re-reading the completed series when K. Webster is finished with it. I received an ARC via IndieSage through Book Funnel in exchange for an honest blog tour review.
Please be ADVISED before reading this book, I feel that I need to advise you and all future readers that in all likelihood this book may have some valid triggers that you as a reader may find objectionable or repulsive. So PLEASE if you have a prejudice viewpoint regarding drug use/addiction that you cannot set aside while reading a fictional story, then please STOP reading and find another book. It would be unreasonable & unfair to the author if you read and then rated their work poorly based on personal feelings instead of the fictional work the produced. If you do decide to continue reading, HAPPY READING! Due to explicit sexual content, drug use and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.

THIS IS ME, BABY (War and Peace #5) By K Webster
Lots of Tears
It’s always so hard to write a review on this series because I don’t want to give anything away. I will say I shed quite a few tears while reading this, but my cheeks hurt from smiling too! It’s DEFINITELY an emotional story!! And now I once again cannot wait for the next story!!!! This Isn’t Fair, Baby (War and Peace #6). Each story is a continuation of the complete story, but has its own love story within too.
Brie has had her world torn out from under her once again. Will she finally be able to be happy and actually live her life?
After losing Brie’s love because of his deception, Ren finally at least has her friendship. But due to circumstances he may finally be able to have her love again. Will he be able to keep it and keep her safe?
Will Brie and Ren finally get their happily ever after? Gabe finally gets to help Brie, but what why? You’ll have to read THIS IS ME, BABY (War and Peace #5) to find out. In order to get the complete story you really NEED to read books 1-4 before reading book 5. Due to explicit sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via IndieSage in exchange for an honest blog tour review, but also purchased my own copy!

Excerpt~

The lingerie had been an impulse purchase—an impulse that had then led to an epiphany. Blush and jade. Satin and lace. Toile and mousseline…the colors, styles, and textures had been overwhelming. Trying them on, well, that had been extraordinary. The silk had felt decadent against Hannah’s skin, almost forbidden, and so unlike anything she’d ever worn before. Living an ocean away from everyone and everything she’d ever known, nursing a broken heart, it had been exactly what Hannah had needed.

Initially, she’d fled to Paris to get over Deacon, but more than that, she’d been fleeing the woman she’d sadly become. A woman who sat on the sidelines of her own life. For far too long, she’d allowed other people to dictate her happiness, and that realization, coupled with naughty lingerie and a few glasses of spectacular wine in an adorable bistro, had birthed her new mission. Hannah liked to call it, Operation Joie de Vivre…or Operation Find My Happy.

Her mission was threefold.

First up, no more hiding. Hannah’s bad habit of shying away from experiences simply because they made her nervous was over. Now, she would be bold. Adventurous. Outgoing. Anything from forming friendships to speaking her mind was fair game, with the number one rule being no more skulking in the shadows. Paris had awoken a desire to start truly living—and to stop putting her dreams on hold.

Secondly, Hannah wanted to find her place in the world. The tour with Blue was a perfect opportunity to explore a new option. So far, her contract lasted only through the national leg, with the idea that they’d extend her stay once she’d gotten past a short trial period—a test she intended to pass with flying colors. At twenty-four, she was excited to settle into a career where she could make a real difference, and while she hoped to find that in this position, she was open to just about anything. Band nanny, au pair, or a preschool teacher, they all sounded wonderful. As long as she could make a real contribution, it would fit the bill.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly—

She was putting her heart on the line, once and for all.

Lingerie may’ve kicked off her mission, but it was the hope of Deacon that gave it life. Denying her feelings all these years hadn’t changed them. Neither had leaving the country. The only thing that would, or so she’d decided, was pushing the boundaries of their friendship. Flirting (an activity with which Hannah had zero experience) and letting Deacon know she was ready for love were all part and parcel of her new plan to get her best friend to finally see her as a woman.

Review ~
The Nanny Arrangement (Country Blues Book 2) by Rachel Harris
•Superman
What happens when you’re a 15yr old girl and the “school-freak” and feeling as the town outcast when a new boy moves in next door?? After watching him you finally get the guts to go say “H-h-h-hello”, and then bring him home for dinner. You’re instant best-friends from then on. However you’ve always been in love with that boy, but he only sees you as his best-friend. Fast forward 10yrs, time to put *Operation Joie de Vivre…or Operation Find My Happy. (directly from book)*, into action! This is exactly how this story starts, you’ll have to read The Nanny Arrangement to find out how Hannah and Deacon’s story pans out. It’s emotional I laughed, smirked, chuckled and bawled my eyes out…(be prepared you might need a tissue or two) BUT it’s SO worth the time to read this HEA love story! This is my first Rachel Harris story, but I’m looking forward to reading more from her…. Now I’ve got to go read Accidentally Married on Purpose (Book 3 of the Love and Games series–Tyler and Sherry’s story) and You’re Still the One (Country Blues Book 1–Charlie & Arabella’s story)…. Her writing style is awesome. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Entangled Publishing and Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest review.

• “Have you ever tried taking candy from a baby?”……“I’ve never understood that analogy. Kids are like women with PMS—if you try to take away their candy, someone’s gonna get a fat lip.” (OMG I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard!!! Awesome line and OH SO TRUE!!)
• A couple sweet compliments did not a lover make.
• Father and son.Together and alone. Missing the puzzle piece that completed them. (Yep, one of the bawling moments… Still made me tear up while writing this!)

You’re Still the One (Country Blues Book 1) by Rachel Harris

Love is one dare neither of them can take…

Arabella Stone, Nashville’s darling, is eager to shuck her prim-and-proper rep, and a few wild months spent checking items off her ” summer bucket list” is the way to do it. First up: kiss the man she’s crushed on since she wore a training bra, the bad boy of country himself, Blue bassist Charlie Tucker.

For Charlie, a beautiful woman flirting with him isn’t out of the norm–but a beautiful woman bolting after the hottest kiss of his life sure is. And when he finds out his kiss-and-run Cinderella is none other than Arabella Stone, daughter of his label’s CEO, he knows he’s in trouble. Because not only is she a Stone, she’s also his employee for the next few months at the recording studio he just bought.

Over the course of one thrilling summer, Arabella and Charlie chip away at her bucket list and fight the simmering attraction between them…knowing that once it’s all over, so is their time together.

Tasty Q&A with Rachel Harris

1. Describe yourself in five words or less.
Silly, hopeful, romantic, and loyal.

2. What do you like to do when you aren’t writing?
When I’m not writing, I’m a homeschool mom (my main job and passion in life), so you can usually find me with a book in hand and cuddled with my children. Or in my SUV driving the streets of Houston to one of their extracurriculars and hoping like heck Google Maps knows where it’s going 😉 Family time is very important to me and our days are hectic and full. If I’m not doing any of the above, I’ll be in drinking wine with my husband or in the bathtub reading a good romance (a yummy candle is a must!).

3. A la Twitter style, please describe your book in 140 characters or less.
Love hides in the most surprising places: right under your nose, and sometimes, in the nanny’s tour bus bunk #FallingForYourBestFriend #Oops

4. What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?

I’ve recently discovered that I LOVE writing scenes where the heroine is slightly tipsy lol. It’s so much fun to see how my characters act, what they think, and definitely the things they say, where their guards are down and their confidence is high. Hilarious settings and situations are a definite plus!

5. How long have you been writing, and what (or who) inspired you to start?
In some ways, I’ve always been a writer, but I never finished a story or ever considered it a potential career until about seven years ago. My husband bought me the Twilight books and I fell back in love with reading—and I read so much and talked my husband’s ear off so much that he suggested I try writing a book, too. It was summer break for our home school and my girls were very young, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I threw myself into research, studied my favorite books and read every blog post on writing from my favorite authors, and by August of 2010, I started what would later become The Fine Art of Pretending, one of my YA contemporary romances. I finished that by Thanksgiving, started My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by January, and that book released the following year. In 2012, my fabulous editor at Entangled suggested I try writing an adult romance for a new imprint that she was launching, and I’ve been having a blast writing both ever since.

6. Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
Every book I write has some borrowed real life experience, and every character I create has a piece of me. Hannah’s love of silly made-up songs is totally me (I even put in one of my children’s favorites about muffins in the book, ha!), and I used my own memories with my kids for all things nanny. But the biggest experience that I borrowed for the book is probably a particularly epic moment that happens after Deacon and Hannah’s first kiss! I won’t spoil anything by giving it away, but let’s just say what happens after that is a hodge-podge of TWO epic/embarrassing moments that happened in my own life. Hey, what good is it being an author if you can’t write-in your most mortifying moments to share with the world, right?? LOL
