Charlotte a writer who’s offered a contract to write a biography on the/about/for Pro-Football Player Quarterback Ryan Blake for $250,000! Sounds too good to be true, of course Charlotte knows nothing about sports, but that amount of money could pay off her student loan, the rest of her bills and put a down payment on a house. Then she looks him up…. OH MY… even just looking at his online picture tells her she’s in major trouble! He’s brutally HOT, ink black hair, icy blue eyes and so gorgeous he could be a model if he didn’t play football. This isn’t going to be an easy job, then when she actually sees him…. OH ME OH MY, pictures do NOT do him justice!!! *How am I ever going to get anything done if I have to work with this scorching hot hunk of man?* But I have to get his story!

Ryan Blake lives under a black cloud because he doesn’t want his past to come out.

After playing football in college at Ohio State and now the Quarterback for the Brooklyn Vipers, Ryan Blake hates being a public figure, always in the spotlight, having his every move scrutinized and hounded by reporters. They’re always trying to find out information from his past, especially since he’s always been so secretive about it. His manager Johnny wants him to get out in front of whatever he’s hiding so they can spin it the way they need to, before someone else comes up with it. A biographer has been hired by the team to paint him in a flattering light, which he’s not happy about, to make matters worse it’s a woman! Ryan thinks all women are crazy and always have a few screws loose. Then he meets Charlotte…WoW…. But is she like every other woman? He wants his past to stay hidden at all costs, but why?

This is the first story I’ve read by Daphne Swan, but it won’t be the last! I enjoyed her writing style, the way everything blended together but yet there were still surprises along the way. You get both characters perspectives throughout the storyline which I completely enjoyed. I can’t wait to read more of her writing! Due to explicit sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I received an EXCLUSIVE copy in exchange for an honest review, but I purchased it as well. *direct book quote
